Artist Info: Chalmers Barockensemble

Chalmers Barockensemble is Sweden's oldest and probably the only "studentikos" (high-spirited or jaunty, no good English word exists for the Swedish term) symphony orchestra. The ensemble plays music with the motto "Music to watch".
Most of the orchestra's concerts are performed at companies, schools and prisons.

The ensemble uses most of the normal instruments of a symphonic orchestra (even though the saxophone is not included and should, according to the orchestra, not be counted at all), but also some home made instruments. [read more...]
