Artist Info: Captain Gumbo

They are four stage personalities who originate from the swamps of the Rhine-Delta and play music associated with hot steaming dancefloors, swamps and homemade whiskey. Captain Gumbo is a band with a swingin' repertoire of Cajun and Zydeco.

Since the release of their debute cd 1 More 2-Step in 1990 Captain Gumbo has become a respected name at many venues. The Top 40 hit 'Allons A Lafayette' got them shows both national and international.

Besides Europe Captain Gumbo also toured the southern US state Louisiana, home of cajun and zydeco. [read more...]
