Artist Info: Anu Alviola

Anu Alviola is a kantele player from Lahti. She was born in Lahti and started playing kantele at Lahti Conservatory in 1991. She studied mostly classic – and chamber music in conservatory, but became inspired of folk music because of her long-term hobby – folk dancing. In 2003 she was admitted to the Sibelius Academy Folk Music Department to study folk music. She graduated Master of Music in 2009.
