Artist Info: Alta May

The original lineup of Alta May formed in December 1998 after Marcus Pi�a (Anodyne/PLG) joined Denver transplants Garrett Shavlik (The Fluid/Spell) and Erik Roper (Cold Crank). The trio played their first show together in July 1999 opening for Love Battery and Tad Doyle's band, Hog Molly.

In October 2001, the band released their debut album, We As In Us, on Glazed Records, receiving airplay on college radio stations across the US, Canada, and stations in the UK, including BBC Radio 1 (John Peel Show). [read more...]
