Artist Info: Abror Zufarov

Musician and singer Abror Zufarov (Аброр Зуфаров) was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in a family of famous musicians. His grandfather on his father's side was Usman Zufarov, a known maker of musical instruments. His grandfather on his mother's side was Turgun Alimatov, master musician on the Uzbek instruments tanbur, sato and dutar.

From 1989 to 1996 Zufarov studied at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan in Tashkent in the class of Turgun Alimatov, after which he stayed on at the conservatory to teach. [read more...]
