The Best of Blind Melon (also known as "Tones of Home: The Best of Blind Melon") is an album by American alternative rock band Blind Melon, and is the third album released without frontman Shannon Hoon. As stated by the title, the album is a compilation, with the tracklist consisting of songs that are considered the band's best works, along with a cover of Three is a Magic Number and two live performances. Some tracks include Tones of Home, Change, Toes Across the Floor, Soul One, and their smash hit No Rain, both in its original form and its "ripped away" form from the Nico album. The Best of Blind Melon would be released on September 27, 2005, almost a full decade after the death of former frontman Shannon Hoon.
